HEARTS FOR HOPE

Hearts for Hope Dinner and Auction

Food. Fellowship. Fun.

The Mosaic Center’s 2019 Hearts for Hope Dinner and Auction was one for the books! On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, we filled Pitser Garrison Convention Center with a sell-out crowd of over 500. Tara Watson Watkins led us through the evening as our Master of Ceremonies. David Calhoun and his Texas Custom Catering team served hearty portions of his delicious Chicken Fried Steak dinner. Dinner was served by Lufkin Rotary Club and Hudson High School’s National Honor Society served drinks. Over 50 delectable desserts were showcased in the center of the room for the Dessert Auction, which has grown to be a staple of Hearts for Hope! Ellen Charanza partnered with Donna’s Floral Designs to provide table centerpieces that wowed guests. Entertainment by GMC Trio provided classic tunes everyone could tap their feet to. The fast-paced banter of auctioneers Reece Hubbard and Billy Marlin was entertaining for all. Auction opportunities included a Live Auction, Silent Auction, Dessert Auction, Rose Table, and Raffle. Faithful volunteer Deb Medford received the Volunteer of the Year Award, also known as the “Emily Award.” Three Mosaic Center Graduates shared how God worked in their lives through The Mosaic Center. Everyone was moved by the incredible transformation in each of their lives. Sally Alvis concluded the event with our raffle. Raffle winners were Rudy Salaiz for the $500 Brookshire Brothers Gift Card, Martha Vines for the $500 Sam’s Club Gift Card, and Ben Carlton for the iRobot Roomba e5 Wi-Fi Connected Vacuum. Arline Jordan won the Kate Spade purse in the Rose Raffle. Guests enjoyed a keepsake photo from photo booth provided by Amber Michele Photography.

Thanks to all Hearts for Hope sponsors, vendors, and volunteers who made this evening a tremendous success. A special thanks to all who attended, donated and prayed for Hearts for Hope 2019.
